Danielle Pires's life is going well. She has a boyfriend who wants to marry her and is building a reputation as a talented and hard-working interior designer. Keen to expand her portfolio, Danielle is delighted by a request to breathe life back into the Victorian Mansion that handsome Scott Jordache is renovating.
Her parents, meanwhile, have organised a surprise Caribbean cruise to give her a much-needed break.
Danielle sets sail only to discover Scott aboard the same ship, but mysteriously travelling under a pseudonym. Intrigued, she feels torn between mistrust and being drawn in by his charm.

I wonder if writers ever go back and read the books they've written through their readers eyes. I think the story could have been so much better if there weren't so many irritating moments throughout the book. I'm pretty sure the word 'smirk' isn't used correctly in this book because if it is then the H deserved a good few slaps along the way. I'm not going to even bother putting spoilers in this review since this is a short story and if you're prepared to spend the dollar, you'll soon see what I mean.Product details

Mel Comley's brand of wish fulfillment romance makes a pleasing detour towards her better-known genre of thriller/mystery in the second of a series that began with "A Time To Heal". In this book Comley's thriller instinct delivers a strong, tight plot to package deft, and where appropriate, suitably yummy romance. I find myself wondering if this marks the inception of a new genre.
I really enjoyed this novel, the characters came alive on the page for me and I was soon siding with Danielle, and had the overpowering urge to kick Dean where it hurts...what a creep.
I read A Time For Change in one evening, as I was eager to find out what happened with the other man in Danielle's life, handsome Scott Jordache.
He is quite a mysterious person, and what is he doing on the cruise liner?
No, I can't tell you. You are going to have read this entertaining and sometimes very funny book, yourself. Thank you Mel Comely for another super read. From another satisfied reader.
... Please let not this be a time for change for Mel as a writer ! Just because I think she's great at penning thrillers, and I'm a real fan of the Justice series !
I think it just shows that she's a writer of many talents. She can do evil people and kick-ass detectives, but she can also do nice romantic stories that will make you go all wooobbly inside. Apart from the bits where I could easily hear myself scream in my head "Come on, kick the Bisturd" and "My goodness girl, what are you waiting for? Kiss him already!" It was a nice change in between zombie books )
Really, the lovers of Romance books would like it. I just hope they don't like it so much that they end up pressuring Mel in writing just that... That's what I'm worried about...
Tell you what though, it has completely put me off going on a cruise ! Beany hair mask anyone !!??
I seldom read romances, but I am so happy I read this one. It's a feel good book all the way through.
Oddly, the beginning too many of us can relate to. It touches a raw nerve, and you are so completely on Danielle's side when she meets Scott and finally has the urge to dump her awful awful boyfriend.
I gobbled this book up in a matter of hours. I laughed a lot while reading it. The dialogue is so realistic, and the metaphors and writing style were delightful to read.
It is full of mystery and twists and turns - which again made me really enjoy this book. This book has to be the perfect holiday read!
Scott is delightful, Dean is a a donkey's rear end, and Danielle is a glorious independent woman you'll relate to. The characters were alive, real, tangible, and you are swept up in their moments with them.
Definitely five out of five stars
My thoughts on this book? A wonderful romance, gorgeous hero and heroine, and a cruise. What more could you want? A terrific read.
I liked this book. It is a nice romance that I read in a day. The characters are likeable and I enjoyed the relationship between the couple as well as the sisters.
Danielle is an interior designer stuck in a boring and sad relationship with Dean. Meeting her new client, Scott has Danielle wondering about changing her mixing business with pleasure motto as a thought of the past. Now taking a long overdue holiday, Danielle might just find out how it should feel to be loved. This was a cute story.
