This is a delightful book, both for your child and for you.
It is delightful for the child because it has a very recognizable cast of characters, animals that he or she has seen regularly, not only in the bed, but on television, in movies, and especially in his or her imagination.
It is delightful for you, the parent, because it is not only a delightful little read, it is delightfully "little" if you have a busy evening ahead.
I also love the book because it gives the kids an introduction to new vocabulary, so as you read to your child, you can point to the words and stop, letting your child read the next word, even if at the beginning he is only remembering the word, eventually, he is reading the words along with you.
I fondly remember by mother reading to me, and your child will fondly remember you reading to him or her, and this book will run through his mind as sleep overtakes the mind.

What kid doesn't have 1001 excuses for not going to bed?! This book airs just a few of the silly ones that we've all heard before bedtime. Great read!
This is the cutest book and so funny too. I bought two of them and am glad I did. Illustrations are great, and my three year old niece loves it.
Her parents tell me that they read it to her every night.

Clever and thoughtful for young people. Would recommend this book as an ideal present. I gave it to my grandchild and she was delighted with it.
